Easy Chilli Crab (Meat)


This easy 'chilli crab' recipe is my only 'weapon' if I want to put something quick, fuss free and edible for the kids.


This is specially done up for Kathy my dear friend, a mum like me, who wants to whip up whatever her kids love to eat but no joke, she cooks like a pro💪💪💪💪






A quick look at the ingredients..


2 jars Singlong chilli crab sauce (bought mine at NTUC supermarket)

1 can crab meat (major supermarkets)

Chinese steam buns (mantou) - amt optional but I usually prep more

2 clove minced garlic

1-2 eggs

Cornstarch (for thickening the sauce)



Method

1. Rinse the crab meat in hot water to get rid of the frozen taste.

2. Microwave for 30 seconds (optional)

3. Heat a tbsp of oil and saute the garlic (not too brown), pour in the sauce and add 1.5 amt of water for the 2 bottles. Bring the sauce to a boil.

4. Add in corn starch to a preferred consistency and pour in all the crab meat (do not over stir, instead let it come to a boil) the crab meat breaks if stir too much.

5. Switch off the fire and stream in 2 beaten eggs.

6. Heat up a pot of oil, fry the buns (mantou), mindful of heat, they turn brown very quickly due to sugar content in buns. (But fire must be high enough otherwise the buns will absorb allthe oil, a little tricky here)

Enjoy with mantou or rice..😄😄
