Begedils @ Potato patties
Craving for mee soto, so decided to try cooking a batch of begedils to go with it.
Had tried cooking this before but did not remember exactly how so I did a trial and error recipe. Surprisingly it went well..and it was easy and fast.
Ingredients:
5 medium size potatoes
3 stalks spring onions (chopped)
4 ikea meat balls
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 egg beaten
Oil for frying
How to:
1. Wash potatoes and make a slit round the potatoes on the skin ( this enables us to peel the skin easily when it is cooked).
2. Put the potatoes in the microwave on medium high for 5-8 mins or till the potatoes are soft.
3. Mash them with a fork and add in the spring onions & pepper & salt.
4. Bake the meatballs in the air fryer for few minutes and mashed it with fork, mix the meatballs into the mashed potatoes.
5. Beat an egg and gradually add it into the mashed potatoes, making sure it is well-mixed.
6.Heat a small pot of oil and roll the mashed potatoes into golf ball size.
7. Flatten the potato balls slightly and lower them.into oil &fry til golden brown.
8.Serve with sweet chilli sauce or on its own..
