Fried Shallots - The Microwaved Way..

Fried Shallots the Microwave way..

I have always been a fan of fried shallots home-made version..I especially loved those from Prawn noodle hawker..they have a very distinctive flavour which I have yet to define what they have added into the making of the yummilicious shallots..perhaps lard..🤔🤔..

Today my simple microwaved-shallots will be able to help shallots-lover overcome their crave..this post is specially for my foodie friend Geraldine Chang (Babe), we always address each other this way and the best thing is we havent met each other in person...🤗🤗.but we are like long-time friends..Thankful to Wendy for introducing us....here's it..enjoy..Babe..still I longed to see your lor ark 🤭🤭..can't forget the FB image you posted years ago..Geraldine braised very good ducks..

Ingredients:

1 bowl of sliced shallots or more
Enough oil to cover the shallots
( I used canola oil or any kind of vegetable, corn oil)

Method:
1. Cover the shallots with room temperature oil.

2. Adjust microwave to 5 minutes high (stiring at 5 minutes mark) but do check through window for signs of browning..

3. I added another 10 minutes to the cooking shallots but from this minute, you have to keep an eye on it as it could just be too burnt if left unchecked/not stirred.

4. From this moment you stir shallots till light golden brown (becareful not to let it turn rich golden brown because from12 minutes on, it will burn easily)

5. Da da..enjoy the golden crispy shallots as and when you want..but beware...it is Highly addictive..Geraldine 🤭🤭🤭
