Easy Korean Army Stew

When days are such that you have a little of everything in your kitchen..You just do not even need to stress over what to cook. That's it..Korean Army Stew..

I had in my fridge the following, half a cabbage, half a packet of mushroom, half a block of tulip luncheon meat, 1 cheese sausage and 2 chipolata chicken sausages, few stalks of leek, 1 block of korean toufu, 1 packet of pork belly, 1 cucumber and 1 cup of pork broth that was left from my daughter's cooking..that's about it.

Let's get started, as promised within 30 minutes dish...

Ingredients:

1/4 cabbage (cut into bite size)
1/2 block luncheon meat (sliced)
Sausages (sliced)
1/2 block toufu (sliced)
1 small jap cucumber (sliced)
6 slices pork belly (cut into 1 inch pieces)
Leek (cut into 2 inch length)/Spring onions
1/2 cup kimchi (optional)
1 pcs ramen
1 cup pork broth

Soup base paste
1 tbsp miso paste
2 tbsp gochuchang (korean chillin paste)
1 tbsp korean chilli flakes (I used local chilli flakes)
1 tsp sugar 
2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp water


The How to

1. Arrange the ingredients into the base of a heavy pot (use a ceramic pot if you have) whichever way you want it.

2. Pour in the broth to cover ingredients.

3.Top up the soup base paste and put kimchi in the centre, pour hot water till the ingredients are submerged.

4. On the fire and bring to a boil, lower fire to simmer, after 5 minutes, add the ramen and press it down the centre of pot and put 2 slices of cheese on the ramen. Lastly add in all the leeks and serve hot.
